Recently, the first Greater Bay Area Sustainable Development Innovation Challenge Competition was successfully held in Shenzhen.
The competition was initiated by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the Shenzhen Competition was organized by the Shenzhen Research Institute of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, connecting with the Shenzhen-Hong Kong and Macao Universities Preliminary Competition area in 2022. It is open to enterprises and teams that have entered the finals of the preliminary competition and won the first, second and third prizes in the Shenzhen-Hong Kong and Macao Universities Preliminary Competition in previous years. It has been strongly supported by Shenzhen Virtual University Park and Shenzhen Research Institute of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Lanzhou University, Beihang University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and other sister universities, attracting more than 10 universities and nearly 40 excellent projects, many of which are from Hong Kong and mainland universities laboratory results transformation projects. The final was held on 27-28 August at the Shenzhen base of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Focusing on the fields of new energy and energy conservation and environmental protection, recycling and efficient use of resources, smart city, low-carbon transportation, green finance, community and social environment development, the competition focuses on promoting innovation in sustainable development, and advocates and promotes the dissemination and practice of the concept of sustainable development in the Greater Bay Area. The competition provides a number of special resources such as exclusive training camp, one-to-one mentor docking, and entrepreneurial support to help the participating teams iterate on technology, upgrade their missions, and change their strategies.
