On the morning of July 12, China (Shenzhen) -UAE (Dubai) Breakfast Exchange, co-organized by Shenzhen Foundation For International Exchange and Cooperation (SFIEC) and Dubai Chambers, was held at the Foundation. Saeed Al Gergawi, Vice President of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, Si Junjie, Chief Representative - China of Dubai Chambers, Li Dan, Secretary General of Shenzhen Foundation For International Exchange And Cooperation and over a dozen representatives of Shenzhen enterprises participated in the exchange and discussed practical cooperation between Shenzhen and Dubai.
On behalf of the Foundation, the Secretary General Li Dan welcomed Mr. Saeed Al Gergawi and his delegation to Shenzhen and made the Foundation the first stop of their journey to China. She said that since Shenzhen and Dubai became sister cities in 2018, cooperation in various fields has developed rapidly and deeply. Both cities have achieved rapid economic and social development in a relatively short period of time, and both are full of inclusiveness, pioneering, innovation and struggle spirit, and the basis for bilateral cooperation is sound. In recent years, the industrial development of the two cities is highly complementary, and the two sides have broad prospects for cooperation in the fields of new energy, new materials, digital economy, financial investment, economy and trade, and close exchanges in various fields. SFIEC will continue to build a pragmatic and efficient platform for deepening exchanges and cooperation between enterprises and institutions in Shenzhen and Dubai, and help the common development of both cities.
Mr. Saeed Al Gergawi thanked the Foundation for organizing the breakfast exchange, and said that Dubai is a diversified and international hub city, as well as an important trade center, financial center and science and technology center in the Middle East and North Africa region, which has long provided technical and financial support for the development of science and technology in the region. Dubai attaches great importance to practical cooperation with Chinese cities which includes Shenzhen. As a functional department of the government to promote economic and trade cooperation, Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy will, as always, provides a package of support and services for Chinese enterprises to invest and start business in Dubai. It welcome more Chinese enterprises to settle down in Dubai. And relevant authorities in Dubai will provide all possible convenience and are willing to help Chinese companies better layout the Middle East with Dubai as the fulcrum.
