From August 6 to 10, 2023, The First MSU-BIT Workshop on Analysis and Computation hosted by the Department of Computational Mathematics and Control was successfully held at MSU-BIT University. 

The meeting was held in Room 206, Teaching Building No. 3. Experts attending the meeting include: Professor Liu Hongyu, City University of Hong Kong, Professor Li Jingzhi, Southern University of Science and Technology, Professor Zhang Ye, Shenzhen MSU-BIT University, and more than 70 experts, scholars and students from Beijing Institute of Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Jilin University, Central South University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, etc. The opening ceremony of the meeting was hosted by Professor Liu Hongyu from City University of Hong Kong and Professor Zhang Ye from Shenzhen MSU-BIT University.

Professor Liu Hongyu pointed out in the opening speech that theoretical, applied and computational mathematics, especially inverse problems, have received widespread attention and flourished in recent years. He encouraged young scholars to seize opportunities, pay attention to frontiers, focus on applications, combine research on inverse problems with practical applications, and strive to make groundbreaking contributions. On behalf of Shenzhen MSU-BIT University, Professor Zhang Ye welcomed the participating experts and scholars and briefly introduced the construction and development of the university. He hoped that everyone present could continue to support Shenzhen MSU-BIT University and wished the meeting a smooth success.

The meeting gathered representatives from Beijing Institute of Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology, Xi'an Jiaotong University, The University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, City University of Hong Kong, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Southern University of Science and Technology, Southeast University, Jilin University, Central South University, Sun Yat-sen University, Hunan University, Shenzhen MSU-BIT University Famous professors, etc, who are engaged in theoretical, applied and computational mathematics Famous professors and experts in research work. During the meeting, 33 exciting offline reports were organized, with more than 100 people participating. The meeting promoted research in the fields of theoretical, applied and computational mathematics and other related fields, such as backscattering problems, mean field game problems, transmission problems, optical imaging problems and other aspects.

The meeting provided a good platform for exchanges and cooperation among domestic experts and scholars in the fields of theoretical, applied and computational mathematics. The participating experts and scholars conducted in-depth and extensive exchanges and discussions on important issues and cutting-edge directions in related fields. The meeting not only exchanged the latest academic ideas, but also promoted further development in related fields. It is believed that the successful holding of the meeting will attract more and more young scholars to research in related fields and strive to achieve better results.
