On 19 September, the Shenzhen-Hong Kong "Dual Headquarters" Mechanism Innovation Seminar was held in Futian, Shenzhen. Gao Lingyun, Executive Director of SZ-HK Collaborative Innovation Research Institute of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, pointed out at the meeting that the Hetao Scheme will promote the combination of scientific and technological innovation advantages of Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and provide a platform to accurately match the research results of universities and the development of real industries.

Organised by Shenzhen Finance Institute, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Our Hong Kong Foundation and Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Cooperation Innovation Research Association, the seminar invited experts and scholars from all sectors of Hong Kong and the Mainland to have in-depth discussions on topics such as the development plan of the Loop and future Shenzhen-Hong Kong co-operation opportunities, and to discuss how to take advantage of Hetao as an important platform to promote the all-round cooperation and development of Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Looking ahead to the high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area.

Gao Lingyun, Executive Director of SZ-HK Collaborative Innovation Research Institute of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, pointed out that the Hetao Scheme will give full play to the scientific research capabilities of Hong Kong universities and establish an international level of scientific research platform. At present, there are many platforms or institutions trying to combine the scientific research advantages of Hong Kong with the spatial advantages of Shenzhen, and the Hetao scheme will provide a new model for the combination of scientific and technological innovation advantages of the two areas, and also provide a platform to accurately match the research results of universities and the development of real industries.
