On June 17, approximately 200 representatives from cross-border e-commerce industry associations, colleges, and leading companies nationwide gathered at the 2025 Cross-border E-commerce Talent High-quality Development Forum and College-Enterprise Cooperation Conference. The event was held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District, focusing on the current challenges of talent development in the cross-border e-commerce sector and exploring systematic solutions.

In her opening speech, Wang Xin, president of the Shenzhen Cross-border E-commerce Association (SZCBEA), highlighted that cross-border e-commerce has become a new driver of economic growth, with talent as its core competitive advantage. She emphasized that the forum aims to unite industry, enterprises, and academic institutions to achieve breakthroughs in three key areas: reshaping the talent training paradigm, deepening school-enterprise collaborative education mechanisms, and building a global talent ecosystem.

Chen Biaoxin, chairman of the National Cross-border E-commerce Industry-Education Integration Community and vice president of Guangdong University of Science and Technology, shares insights with the audience.

Chen Biaoxin, chairman of the National Cross-border E-commerce Industry-Education Integration Community and vice president of Guangdong University of Science and Technology, noted that the industry currently faces significant talent gaps in quantity, quality, and structure. He called for urgent collaboration among colleges, enterprises, and government to break this deadlock. He also advocated for establishing a talent evaluation system aligned with international standards and exploring international mutual recognition of professional qualifications to cultivate globally competitive talent.

Brother Sway, a top TikTok influencer with tens of millions of followers, shared several examples of his collaborations with enterprises and expressed his willingness to work with the GBA Industry Education Alliance to promote cross-border e-commerce brand marketing education in colleges and universities.

During the keynote speech session, five experts offered profound insights on talent cultivation from the perspectives of academic research, discipline development, platform practice, and corporate strategy. In the thematic sharing session, several professors presented their explorations and achievements in cross-border talent training.

The event also featured a signing ceremony for college-enterprise cooperation. A total of 11 companies from Shanghai, Shenzhen, Fujian and other places held signing ceremonies with colleges and universities including Guangdong University of Science and Technology, Beijing City University, Guangxi Vocational and Technical College, and Guangdong Technology College. The cooperation will focus on innovative talent training and industry-education integration in the field of cross-border e-commerce.

The event also featured a signing ceremony for college-enterprise cooperation. Eleven companies from Shanghai, Shenzhen, Fujian, and other regions signed agreements with institutions including Guangdong University of Science and Technology, Beijing City University, Guangxi Vocational and Technical College, Guangzhou Huali College, Guangzhou Huashang College, and Guangdong Technology College. The cooperation will focus on innovative talent cultivation and industry-education integration in the cross-border e-commerce field.
