1、City Overview
Ciudad de M é xico, also known as the Federal District of Mexico, is the capital of the United Mexican States. It is located in a valley on the central southern plateau of Mexico, at an altitude of 2240 meters, covering an area of 1525 square kilometers, and has a population of approximately 22.8 million (including satellite cities). Mexico City is home to about half of the country's industrial, commercial, service, and banking institutions, and is the political, economic, cultural, and transportation center of the country.
The climate in Mexico City is cool and pleasant, with an average annual temperature of around 18 ℃. The year is divided into rainy and dry seasons, with June to October being the rainy season. 75% -80% of the annual precipitation is concentrated in the rainy season. Most of the residents have both European and Native American ancestry and believe in Catholicism.

According to the latest data from the Mexican Institute of Competitiveness (IMCO) in 2025, the per capita GDP of non mining sectors in Mexico City ranks first in the country and second in the country in terms of specialization rate.

Main industries: The automotive industry is the largest manufacturing sector and one of the most active pillar industries in Mexico City. Other major industries include construction, steel, textiles, spinning, plastics, furniture, and cement. Meanwhile, Mexico City is also a center of art, education, and culture, and its tourism industry is rapidly growing, playing an important role in the Mexican economy.

The Plaza de la Constituci ó n in Mexico
The Constitution Square of Mexico is located in the center of Mexico City, surrounded by buildings such as the National Palace, the Federal District Government Building, the largest Catholic church in Latin America, and the Museum of the Ruins of the Grand Temple. The square was first built during the Spanish colonial period and was once the center of the Aztec Empire's Tenochtitlan city. Colonists rebuilt the original temple ruins here, and it still retains its market function. It is the center of political, religious, and cultural activities in Mexico.

The National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico
The National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico is one of the world's famous museums, located in Chapultepec Park in Mexico City, covering an area of 125000 square meters with a building area of 44000 square meters. The collection contains a large number of pre Columbian to pre colonial Indian artifacts, with core exhibits including Aztec solar calendar stones, Olmec megalithic heads, and Teotihuacan pyramid models.

Mexico City Historic Center
The Historic Center of Mexico City is a core cultural heritage area located in the capital of Mexico. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987 along with Hochmilco. The area covers an area of nearly 3 square kilometers and preserves 5 Aztec temples, the largest Catholic church in Latin America, and a checkerboard urban layout from the Spanish colonial period.

Chapultepec Park
Chapultepec Park is located in the southern part of Mexico City, covering an area of 686 hectares, and is the largest urban park in Latin America. The park features a natural landscape of lush trees and rippling lakes, with three artificial lakes, a botanical garden, and a zoo. Cultural facilities include multiple venues such as the Anthropology Museum, the Natural History Museum, and the Museum of Modern Art.
